Tart raspberry wheat inspired by a Berliner weisse
Supreme is liberal take on a Berliner Weisse – a sour wheat beer that originated in Berlin.
Our version uses a special yeast called Lachancea that produces both lactic acid (like the bacteria used for yogurt and lambics), and alcohol (like most beer yeast). We use a mix of pilsner and wheat malts, EKG hops for some minty, herbal depth, and then a huge load of organic raspberries. This beer is tart, pink and easy to drink even for those who don’t often drink beer.
